Notice of Co-Option of Community Youth Representatives
Notice is hereby given that Brecon Town Council intends to co-opt two Community Youth Representatives to participate in Town Council business.
Expressions of interest are sought from young members of the public who meet the following qualifications and are interested in representing their community on Brecon Town Council.
- Aged over the age of 11 but has not attained the age of 18 AND
- Suitable to act as a community representative and represent the interests of those individuals who live, work or receive education or training in the Brecon Town Council area who have not attained the age of 18 AND
- Able to hold and vacate office in accordance with the terms of the appointment as set by the Council AND
- For young people under the age of 18 years, that parental or guardian consent is granted in writing as set out by the Council.

Christmas Lights Tender 2026 – 2028 Inclusive
Brecon Town Council is inviting Tenders for the design, provision, erection and dismantling of hired Christmas lights and decorations in Brecon for a 3 year period 2026 – 2028 inclusive. Tenders must be submitted by email to townclerk@brecontowncouncil.org.uk with the following subject line – Tender Submission – For the Design and Supply of Christmas Lights 2026-28 or by hard copy in a sealed envelope marked Tender Submission – For the Design and Supply of Christmas Lights 2026-28 to The Guildhall, Brecon, Powys LD3 7AL before the closing date. Tenders received after this date and time will not be considered. Tenderers are required to comply in all respects with the Bribery Act 2010. Any tender found to involve, or give rise to, conduct in breach of the Act will be disqualified and may be subject to further legal action.
